Our programs are structured as follows:
Full Training Program or Learner ship
This is aimed at brand new entrants to the industry with less than one years experience. These learners would require the maximum amount of facilitated workshops or class room experience, extensive input from an expert facilitator, but would also need to do pre reading, self study and assignments in the class, at home and in the work place to complete the requirements for this program.
Learners attend class room training of approximately 20 to 25 days over a 12 to 18 month period.
This program is usually done in 5 day skills programs followed by submission of portfolio(formative assessment) closed book exam as a summative assessment. The program could also be run over the period of a year also be done of the period of a year with 2 days facilitation per month.
Blended Learning: Facilitated Program
This method is aimed at more experienced staff who have 2 to 3 years experience the financial services industry and score well in a pre evaluation, They do not need as much facilitation(class room time), input from a expert trainer and would do more reading and self study to prepare for the assignments and summative assessment. There is also an element of RPL(Recognition of Prior Learning)
Learners would attend class room training and self study 10 days over a 6 to 12 month period (usually one or two days per month) followed by research, self study, completion and submission of portfolio(formative assessment), culminating in a closed book exam as a summative assessment.
Blended Learning: Self Study
This is aimed at more experienced staff with 5 or more years experience in financial services and score highly on the pre assessment and evaluation. There is minimal input from the facilitator with most of the learning taking place during reading research, self study completion of research based assignments and workplace assignments. There is a larger element of RPL in this process.
Complete the program through self study with only one day induction into the program and tele coaching if required. This can be completed in 6 months with a maximum of 12 months, but on occasion highly competent individuals with extensive experience and existing knowledge have completed in 3 to 6 months.
Blended Learning: Naturally Occurring Evidence
This is aimed at very experienced staff of 10 or more years experience who score highly on the pre assessment and have a broad range of experience in financial services.
There is no initial input or self study in this program as it is an assessment of existing knowledge and experience gained over a long period of time in the financial services industry.
The learner would complete a work place assignment made up of evidence from the work place of actual experience in practicing the knowledge, skills and attitude contained in these programs and this is based on Naturally occurring evidence. This is evidence from the work place using real client files, documents, reports , compliance etc.
If we discover any gaps or shortfalls in the learners knowledge and that required to be found competent RSC will then provide reading material, self study opportunities and assignments to make up for these gaps in the competencies.
Once we are happy that the gaps(if any) have been addressed the learner would complete a summative assessment to complete the process.
This program a blend of RPL, Self Study, Research, Assignments and assessment, with a large focus on RPL. It can be completed in 3 to 6 months depending on the level of experience and motivation of the learner.
